Shunyi Olympic Rowing Park
The rowing competition will take place at the Shunyi Olympic Rowing-Canoeing Park, located in Mapo Town in the Shunyi district of Beijing. The rowing course is located about 45 kilometers outside of downtown Beijing. The venue also will host both the flat-water and slalom canoe-kayak competitions, as well as the open-water swim.
This newly constructed venue features a spacious boathouse with athlete facilities and rest areas, grandstands on both sides of the course, a sleek and modern finish tower, and a separate warm-up/cool-down lane divided from the course by a center island.
