Description: Each camp lasts one week and consists of five- two hour session held Monday through Friday. Most camps are held in the morning from 7:00 to 9:00 am to beat the heat. We also have camps available from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Each student will learn the fundamentals of the rowing stroke, rowing terminology, rowing safety, and the physical benefits of rowing. Students will row in both individual and team boats. On the last day of camp (Friday) we will host an informal race between campers. Parents are welcome to attend.

Description: Long Skinny Boat Camp is the perfect opportunity for beginning rowers to learn the basic fundamentals of rowing including terminology, technique and teamwork. The experienced CCR coaching staff will provide teambuilding land drills in addition to on-the-water instructions for beginning rowers. Students will have the opportunity to train alongside of experienced CCR rowers for an enhanced rowing experience. Description: Since 1971, teens and adults in the Providence metropolitan area have been taking classes in rowing and sculling classes at the Narragansett Boat Club. Our current edition of rowers follows a rowing and sculling progression from barge to Zephyr and into the club’s flotilla of singles and sweeps boats. Classes run within a 90-minute time frame, starting March 29, every six weeks until November 18. We also have special summer youth programs for scullers and sweeps rowers.
