Attention Coaches: Paralympic Potential

USRowing is looking for rowers to train and compete in preparation for the 2012 Paralympic GamesĀ in London. We are looking for individuals who may have been rowing in high school and college and who may qualify for adaptive rowing. The silver medalist rowers in the legs, trunk and arms four with coxswain from the 2008 Beijing Paralympics all came from collegiate programs such as Western Washington, Wake Forest, Princeton and Purdue.

Coaches, do any of your athletes have an impairment that might qualify them for adaptive rowing?

  • Visual impairment - minimum impairment of visual acuity of 6/60
  • Erbs Palsy or Cerebral Palsy
  • Fused Ankle
  • Amputation

Please contact Karen Lewis at karen@usrowing.org if you think you might have a rower who qualifies.
